Menaha Sudhu, Noyyal Go Green
Menaha started the project ”Noyyal Go Green”, making reusable cotton produce bags to replace usage of disposable plastic ones. While volunteering at Siruthuli, an NGO in Coimbatore, India, she realized how the water bodies are affected by plastic bags and other plastic products. This project is her part in helping Siruthuli revive the Noyyal River which was once the main water source for Coimbatore and surrounding areas.
Having two children at home, it haunts her to think about the world we are going to leave for the next generation. She is on a mission to educate people to carry their own reusable bags and Noyyal Go Green is her first step. She has now combined this initiative with women empowerment, being inspired by Smallsteps!
